Jonathan "Jon" Yob is an experienced entrepreneur with expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. In addition to his business leadership, Jonathan Yob has served on numerous community boards and has helped Tampa Bay area charities raise millions of dollars for their causes. One such cause that he is currently supporting is the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Palliative Care Unit. Mr. Yob also supports the unit through his charitable organization the Yob Family Foundation (YFF).

YFF's latest charitable donation to Tampa General Hospital Palliative Care occurred in November 2020. Mr. Yob donated $100,000 to the Palliative Care Program to support its efforts to implement its Advance Illness Management Service and advance overall healthcare standards for individuals throughout the region. This new service, according to TGH Director of Palliative Care Dr. Howard Tuch, will help relieve "suffering in the most vulnerable populations." YFF, with assistance from a matching-donor program, intends to contribute $680,000 to TGH over the next two years.

This is not the first time YFF has supported healthcare institutions or workers in Tampa. Mr. Yob began his volunteer work at TGH almost three decades ago and has provided financial support over the years. In the summer 2020, the YFF launched the Healthy Meals for Tampa's Health Care Workers program to provide free meals to frontline workers at TGH and Advent Health, among other institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
