Tampa, Florida-based Jonathan Yob, an award-winning entrepreneur profiled by National Geographic and numerous other media outlets, serves as the president of the JAY Management Corporation, an asset management firm he established in 2012. Jonathan Yob also founded and serves as the president of the Yob Family Foundation, through which he has sponsored numerous charitable programs and organizations, including A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc.

A Kid’s Place provides a safe, warm, and supportive environment for the region’s foster children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Since its opening more than a decade ago, it has sheltered more than 1,500 youth, establishing itself as a model program in addressing unmet community needs.

Situated on 5 tree-lined acres near Tampa in Brandon, A Kid’s Place offers a residential program that provides counseling and a full complement of social, medical, and educational services for children from birth to age 18.
The organization particularly focuses on keeping sibling groups together whenever possible, providing additional stability for young people in the midst of life-changing crises. Before A Kid’s Place opened in 2009, social service agencies tended to separate siblings taken from their families. Yet, studies and a wide body of experts have shown that siblings who stay together are more likely to support one another as they heal from traumatic experiences, making A Kid’s Place a pioneer in the region of this type of care.
