A Kid’s Place Seeks Financial Contributions and Donated Items

An active presence in the Tampa, Florida, business community, Jonathan Yob guides JAY Management Corporation and coordinates a portfolio that spans real estate assets, invested companies, and financial instruments. Also leading the Yob Family Foundation, Jonathan Yob has a strong commitment to helping others. Among the philanthropic causes he supports is A Kid’s Place, which provides abused and neglected children with a safe haven.

With the COVID-19 pandemic meaning that children are home from school, the nonprofit has had a major increase in staffing costs and provides two extra meals daily. It is also in the process of implementing an e-learning platform that allows instruction at the Brandon campus.

A Kid’s Place has the advantage of a strong community behind it and is currently working with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay in coordinating a Fundholder Matching Program. This involves a 1-to-3 match when it comes to grant contributions made through a family foundation or donor advised fund.

Among the physical donations the nonprofit is seeking for its 60 children are non-perishable food items such as ramen, rice, pasta, and juices. It is also seeking donations of toys, games, and arts and crafts materials. One simple way for contributors to step up is through A Kid’s Place’s Amazon Wish List, which allows purchases to be made online.
