A Kid's Place of Tampa Bay maintains its mission to care for young people, from infancy to age 22, who have experienced abandonment, neglect, or abuse. It provides several services, including medical, educational, social, and psychological. The nonprofit ensures that sibling groups remain together in a stable and loving family environment until they attain permanent foster placement.

In June 2023, A Kid's Place of Tampa Bay announced the completion of a rehabilitation project. Hillsborough County contributed over $340,000 to improve the five-acre campus with seven buildings and 60 beds. Improvements included installing a new roof for the aging-out facility, which houses individuals aged 18 to 22. Additional enhancements included kitchen and bathroom renovations, such as repainting the walls and ceilings and installing new flooring.

Five foster care homes saw the installation of new windows. The classrooms and administrative building received flooring and interior door upgrades, and tree removal and pruning occurred. The much-needed improvements will help ensure a safe and productive living and learning environment for staff and residents.
